Hello everyone,
Welcome to Anime Influence, which is similar to Gaming Influence. However, I am mainly giving my thoughts on certain anime and anime series with some fun mix of anime-related content here.
For this edition of Anime Influence, I'll be ranking my most anticipated anime in 2025.
Before I start, I will only be ranking anime that was released in 2024 which includes the beginning of the year to the end of the year as well as anime that have episodes in 2024. That means if the anime started before 2024, but has episodes in 2024 that are still ongoing, that will qualify. In addition, if the anime started in 2024, but it's still ongoing, that will also qualify. Also, these rankings will not include movies, OVAs, or specials as I considered them separate. Finally, if your favorite anime of 2024 didn't make it on my rankings, that doesn't mean I hate that anime, it just means I haven't watched it or have no interest in it so keep that in mind.
Anyway, let's get started!
Here are some honorable mentions that I enjoyed, but didn't make it on the list:
Honorable Mentions: City The Animation, New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time, My Happy Marriage Season 2, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, May I Ask for One Final Thing?, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2, I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level Season 2, I Have a Crush at Work, Virgin Punk, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 2, Leviathan, Nyaight of the Living Cat
Anyway, let's start with my #20 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Dragon Ball Daima is a Japanese original anime television series created by Toei Animation. It aired on October 11, 2024, and it's still ongoing.
I mentioned in my Most Anticipated Anime in 2024 that I'm not the biggest fan of Dragon Ball, but after watching it, the show is good from what I've watched so far and it's possible that it'll continue from here. It didn't make it to my top twenty Favorite Anime in 2024, but we'll see if it can make it on my Favorite Anime in 2025.
Here's my #19 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Zenshu is a Japanese original anime television series created by MAPPA. It'll air on January 5, 2025.
This anime is about a talented animator who struggles with her first romantic comedy directing project. This anime has a chance to be quite interesting in terms of its story and I have a feeling a lot of people will be able to relate to the protagonist in this anime. Looking forward to seeing how this anime turns out as it'll be out by the time you read this.
Here's my #18 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Lazarus is a Japanese original anime television series created by MAPPA. It will air in 2025.
This anime is about a group of five agents who are tasked with finding a vaccine to save humanity from a deadly drug. This is another anime that seems quite interesting in terms of plots and I have a feeling that there'll be a lot of action, suspense, and hype involved. We'll see how the show will turn out once it airs this year.
Here's my #17 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Honey Lemon Soda is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Mayu Murata. It'll be created by J.C. Staff and it'll air on January 9, 2025.
From what I read in the manga of this series, it's a fun romance with likable characters. From what they're doing with the anime in terms of the trailers so far seems good, but only time will tell if it will succeed. Looking forward to watching it and by the time you're reading this, it might already be out.
Here's my #16 most anticipated anime in 2025:

En'en no Shōbōtai: San no Shou or Fire Force Season 3 is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo. It'll be created by David Production and will air in April 2025.
Fire Force has been a fun series in both the manga and anime and with the third season, it looks to continue just that. The third season will continue where it left off with the Stigma arc and will do the Obi's Rescue arc right after which should be interesting. We'll see how the season will turn out once it airs in three months.
Here's my #15 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Wind Breaker Season 2 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Satoru Nii. It'll be created by CloverWorks and will air in April 2025.
This is another fun series in terms of manga and anime as it's full of crazy action if you're into that type of genre. The second season will continue where it left off from the first season as the students in Furin High School will continue to develop and have interesting action in it. Looking forward to seeing how the second season will do once it airs in three months.
Here's my #14 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals or My Hero Academia: Vigilantes in the West is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court. It'll be created by Bones Film and will air in April 2025.
The manga for this has been completed for about three years and I never thought it would get animated, but this year, we'll get it. This is pretty much a spin-off of My Hero Academia with its own story and characters, but it's enjoyable for what it is. Very curious to see how this show will turn out and we'll find out within three months.
Here's my #13 most anticipated anime in 2025:
GACHIAKUTA is an anime based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kei Urana. It will be created by Bones and air in 2025.
The GACHIAKUTA manga has been picking up as of late and it's great to see that it will finally have an anime adaptation which looks pretty good so far. GACHIAKUTA is an action manga so expect some awesome fights here and with Bones animating it, it has a chance to do so. Looking forward to the anime adaptation of GACHIAKUTA once it airs later this year.
Here's my #12 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Medalist is an anime based off of the is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tsurumaikada. It'll be created by ENGI and it'll air on January 5, 2025.
As I mentioned in my Favorite Manga of 2024 and my Most Anticipated Manga in 2025, it has a great and inspiring story that can resonate with a lot of people who want to fulfill and chase their dreams. It's great to see that this manga will get an anime adaptation and from what we've seen from the trailers, it has a chance to be good. Hoping that it goes well and looking forward to watching it as it'll be available by the time you are reading this.
Here's my #11 most anticipated anime in 2025:

Dr. Stone: Science Future is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the South Korean artist Boichi. It'll be created by TMS Entertainment and will air on January 9, 2025.
I've always been a fan of the Dr. Stone series in both manga and anime form so I'm looking forward to the final season of Dr. Stone. Dr. Stone: Science Future will cover the final arc of the manga which is the Moon Mission arc which should be interesting to see in anime form. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out and it'll be out by the time you read this.
Now, we're in the top ten. Here's my #10 most anticipated anime in 2025:
One Piece is an anime based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda as it was created by Toei Animation, it aired on October 20, 1999, and is still ongoing.
One Piece anime will be back from fillers with the second part of Egghead Island Arc which should be interesting and exciting to watch. Definitely looking forward to seeing how they'll animate the second part of Egghead Island and I hope it delivers. April 2025 can't come soon enough.
Here's my #9 most anticipated anime in 2025:

Boku no Hero Academia: Final Season or My Hero Academia Final Season in the West is an anime based on the Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It will be created by Bones and air in October 2025.
The final season of My Hero Academia will cover the Final War Arc which is basically the final and ending of My Hero Academia. I'm very curious to see if they'll fully adapt the ending to the series, or change it up to satisfy fans since many fans weren't fans of the manga ending. I guess we'll find out in nine months to see the answer.
Here's my #8 most anticipated anime in 2025:

Ao no Hako or Blue Box in the West is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kouji Miura. It was created by TMS Entertainment and Telecom Animation Film and it aired on October 3, 2024, and it's still ongoing.
The anime is still ongoing with this series and I'm enjoying what I've seen of it thus far. The combination of a sports romance in terms of genre as well as the animation and characters has been done pretty well thus far. Hope it continues that way towards the end once it finishes airing.
Here's my #7 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 3rd Season or Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World Season 3 is an anime based off of the Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin'ichirō Ōtsuka. It was created by White Fox and aired on October 2, 2024, and it's still ongoing.
I've been always a fan of Re:Zero series to the point where I even read the light novels as they're so good. Now, you're probably wondering why this anime wasn't even listed on my Favorite Anime in 2024. The reason why it wasn't on there is because I was watching other anime at the time when it aired and didn't get back to it until recently so it didn't make the cut. However, I'm rectifying that now as it has been amazing so far and I'm curious to see where it goes from here.
Here's my #6 most anticipated anime in 2025:

Kaijuu 8-gou 2nd Season or Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 in the West is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It'll be created by Production I.G and it'll air in July 2025.
Kaiju No. 8 was one of my favorite anime that I watched last year and I'm glad to see that it's going to be getting a second season which is a lot sooner than I expected. From what has been teased, we could probably see the Kaiju Weapon arc and The Compatible User arc being adapted here, but we'll have to wait and see. Either way, looking forward to watching it in six months.
Now, we're in the top five. Here's my #5 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Tongari Bōshi no Atorie or Witch Hat Atelier in the West is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kamone Shirahama. It'll be created by BUG FILMS and it'll air in 2025.
I've been a fan of this manga series for so long and we're finally getting an anime adaptation to it as it looks great from what we've seen so far. I have a feeling that Witch Hat Atelier will do well once it airs and this anime has a chance to bring this series to high popularity, but only time will tell. Looking forward to it and can't wait to watch it later this year.
Here's my #4 most anticipated anime in 2025:

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto 2nd Season or The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 in the West is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written by Natsu Hyūga and illustrated by Touko Shino. It will be created by OLM and TOHO animation STUDIO where it'll air on January 10, 2025.
I feel like OTM and TOHO animation STUDIO nailed it with the first season of the anime and I expect them to do the same with the second season as it looks great thus far. The second season will cover the Ko Clan arc and I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll adapt it in anime form. We won't have to wait long for it now as it'll be out by the time you're reading this.
Here's my #3 most anticipated anime in 2025:

Ore dake Level Up na Ken Season 2: Arise from the Shadow or Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow in the West is an anime based off of the South Korean portal fantasy web novel written by Chugong. It'll be created by A1-Pictures and it'll air on January 5, 2025.
Solo Leveling is one of my favorite manhwa and I was skeptical at first with the anime adaptation for it, but after watching the first season, I feel like they nailed it and that makes me extremely happy. The second season is shaping up pretty well and it's about to enter one of my favorite arcs in the manhwa, the Jeju Island arc as I'm curious about how they'll adapt it. Looking forward to watching it as it'll be available now by the time you're reading this.
Here's my #2 most anticipated anime in 2025:
Dandadan Season 2 is an anime based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It will be created by Science SARU and air in July 2025.
The first season of Dandadan was my #1 favorite anime in 2024 so of course, I would be excited for the second season. Especially without spoiling anything, they left it on a cliffhanger which I don't like, but I can understand why they did it to ensure that people will watch the second season once it comes out. Don't like the tactic they're doing with this, but I understand why they did it. Looking forward to watching it once it airs in six months.
Now, here's my #1 most anticipated anime in 2025:

Sakamoto Days is an anime based off of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. It will be created by TMS Entertainment and it'll air on January 11, 2025.
Sakamoto Days is currently one of my favorite manga series and I'm glad to see that it'll finally get an anime adaptation as it's looking great. From the trailers I've seen, it has the potential to be amazing and I have a feeling that this anime will get more people into the manga series which equals more sales which I'm excited for. Looking forward to watching it myself as it'll probably be on by the time you're reading this.
Those are my most anticipated anime in 2025.
